Black Gate: My interview of Professor Patrice Caldwell

This interview is about something near and dear to my heart, the Jack Williamson Lectureship, a little known gem in the science fiction calendar that takes place every April in Portales, New Mexico. The first year I went, the authors in attendance included:

Jack Williamson (of course!)
Fred Pohl
Robert Silverburg
Connie Willis

Quick quiz: what do they have in common?

They are all SFWA Grand Masters, and you rarely find four of those in any one place, unless you frequent a certain Dairy Queen in southern New Mexico. You may think I'm kidding, but I'm not. Sadly, Jack has passed on and the Dairy Queen went out of business, but it's still my favorite event of the calendar.

Head over to The Black Gate to hear all about it from the organizer, Professor Patrice Caldwell.
