LF internet connection...

The good news is that we're settled into my parents' house. The bad news is that I can't get internet on my computer here. We'll head out Friday to get a better wireless card, because the one we bought doesn't work worth beans.

I'm posting this from my mother's computer - I don't want to make a regular habit of invading her office! I've managed to write about 12,000 words on my YA urban fantasy. Now I'm tearing them apart and throwing sections out. Isn't that always the way?

  1. 12 000 words sounds great! Can you tell us more about the YA urban fantasy, or would you rather not?

Oh, you've adopted another dragon! She's so cute!

  2. Okay, I better get my two cents worth in quick then...Best wishes to you and I can't wait to hear about England, and you inspire me. That you are continuing to write with all this change in upheaval is an inspiration. I hope you send your novel to WiDo Publishing when it's done!

  3. Hi guys! The YA urban fantasy is your typical urban fantasy with vampires and werewolves, and a new magical race I made up. We'll see how it plays; right now I'm in an "it's all awful" phase, which means it's all going normally.

I've been visiting your dragon, Melanie. She's adorable! They let you adopt another at lvl 30.

And thanks, Karen. What you don't realize is that all this writing in the midst of upheaval is my way of hiding from all the other work I should be doing :-)

  4. I know just what you mean--so much saner to bury ourselves in the world we have created and can control than the real one that seems so out of control lol....other writers understand perfectly.

  5. You're better at world building than I am, then. My created worlds are more chaotic and harder to control than my day to day life, and that's saying something!
