So many people have wished me a happy birthday on my Facebook page (and here on my blog too - thanks, Melanie!) It feels silly to have to post my reply here, but my netbook won't tolerate any more graphics than this. Hope everyone had a wonderful day.
I'm in a little hotel in Roswell, getting ready to go see the UFO museum tomorrow. Last time I was here, I was a kid, and it was before the UFO story had really gotten rolling. My earliest recollection of even hearing about it was on an Unsolved Mysteries episode in the late 80's or early 90's, so this is a very different town than I remember it being way back when. (It must've been the early 90's because I was here for a school play in middle school, and the place was still known just for its dairy industry and bus factory).
Right now, we're just trying to get our little boy to sleep. Poor little guy is very tired.
And no, I didn't write today. Sunday is the one day I take off from all that.
We did that same trip back in July, and camped overnight. (yes, with a 3 mo. old)Roswell is great fun in July...it's the "anniversary". Zoinks. We adore the street lights. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, our son has a little pup tent that he used to love, but he figured out on this trip that if he cried enough, we'd let him sleep with us. He's big enough now that I don't worry about squishing him.
ReplyDeleteI've heard the crash festival is quite a sight, lol!
We had a really cool travel bassinet that we got on freecycle. Just stuck it next to me in the tent. But, all his buggy bites in the morning made me sad.
