The Dragon and the Stars is reviewed in this month's Locus

Check out this month's issue of Locus magazine to find Gardner Dozois' review of The Dragon and the Stars. I'm quite flattered and more than a little stunned that he mentioned me by name in his list of "the best stories are by". Quite  high praise coming from the man who, for many years, edited Asmov's magazine and helped make it one of the most competitive and celebrated short fiction markets for science fiction and fantasy. Dozois also got his start as a writer, himself.

Needless to say, it's always a major plus to be noticed by the genre's main trade magazine. Anyone who aspires to become a science fiction or fantasy author should subscribe to this magazine. It includes interviews, reviews, and a list of all the recent book sales to publishers, including the names of the agents who brokered each sale.

Kudos to Derwin Mak and Eric Choi for all their hard work publicizing this anthology. They've done an exceptional job.

  4. Well, thanks to my own sleep problems, things are ... inert. Yes, very inert at the moment. But I can still read, and would be interested in your middle grade science fiction story. :-)

  5. Definitely know how that goes. I'm about to enter an inert phase myself. I'll email you this novel once I'm done with this draft. Meanwhile, if you ever want to compare notes on sleep issues, drop me an email.
